A leading consultancy is looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team to work on a major infrastructure projects within the region.
Manage commercial and contract risk across the Project portfolio, and prepare regular reports including briefing papers particularly on the status of the risk and claims mitigation.
Identify and coordinate interfaces with internal and external stakeholders to ensure necessary support to enable delivery of the projects.
Assist in the development of commercial / contract / procurement strategy (including potential suppliers for supply chain).
Advise on suitability of contract Terms and Conditions in co-ordination with government departments.
Review recommendation as to the preferred bidder, and make a recommendation to the firm for their review / approval.
Monitor implementation of the firm’s contract management and administration processes.
Receive payment requests and bills of quantity, certified by the firm, and confirm they are in accordance with contract requirements.
Administer contracts to achieve a high standard of corporate governance in accordance with the firm’s policies, standards and procedures.
Assist in preparation of Contract Change Orders and Amendments.
Prepare monthly contract/procurement Status Report.
Degree educated - Quantity Surveying or Engineering
A minimum of 20+ years’ experience in managing the cost, financial and procurement aspects of building infrastructure projects with experience in the GCC a distinct advantage
Extensive experience working on Highways, Infrastructure and Drainage projects.
Experience in the assessment of claims and variations on major infrastructure projects and experience of contract forms related to building infrastructure projects.
