We are currently recruiting for a Principal Engineer to join our well established and busy Water Engineering and Infrastructure team in our Teesside office. The Teesside office is rapidly expanding to meet a full programme of work from water, wastewater and industrial clients on a wide variety of interesting and challenging multi-disciplinary projects. As Principal Engineer, you will act as technical lead for delivering design solutions for our clients, and daily activities would involve managing more junior engineers within the design team, producing calculations, design and detailing together with input into the preparation of technical reports. You will be expected to attend site visits during construction stages and will be able to communicate effectively with contractor clients on design issues. You will have strong technical skills, and will be working on a day to day involvement in project delivery. For this role, you will be degree educated in Civil Engineering and will be a Chartered Civil Engineer with ICE or IStructE. You will have significant and demonstrable experience of working in a similar role within Water Engineering or similar heavy civil engineering. You will be able to demonstrate a strong background in technical detailing and delivery, be highly skilled in Project Management techniques and scheduling tools (MS Project) and have a good working knowledge of structural design skills, hydraulics and basic process design.
