Senior Planner – Civil Construction

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a major civil construction contractor and have positions available for experienced Senior Planners.
Focusing on various projects spanning the state of Western Australia, this role provides support to the Project team by closely monitoring and developing the Project schedule. The Senior Planner is responsible for liaising with the full project team and collating information to produce regular updates on changes to expected completion dates in the program. Reporting to the site based Project Manager your duties will include:
- Monitoring, developing and reporting on Project progress;
- Liaising with all Project areas to create and present accurate formal and technical reports;
- Establishing and maintain the Project Program;
- Performing critical path analysis and advise on areas of concern and possible actions;
- From time to time you may be involved in the tender process for new projects.
You will possess a Tertiary level qualification in Engineering and/or Construction and extensive experience in a major project environment, coupled with exceptional knowledge and ability using Primavera P6 scheduling software. You will require well developed analytical and problem solving skills and a proactive, committed and energetic approach.
Ideally you will have worked in one or more of the following; major earthworks, road construction, land remediation, structural concrete, dam construction, pipelines or land development / subdivision. Also a strong commercial focus, strong technical / construction knowledge and a genuine desire to live and work in Australia.
