Albury SI Limited is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Geotechnical Manager looking to further their career. The right employee may, after an initial trial period, be offered the right to purchase shares in the Company.


Our Clients, which include residential developers, Local Authorities and associated professionals, commission us on projects that vary in size and nature in the south-east of England.
The successful candidate will have graduated with a degree in civil engineering or engineering geology and will have had 8 years’ experience with a specialist consultancy, or in a geotechnical/geoenvironmental department of a larger consultancy. A further specialist post graduate degree will be an advantage and chartered candidate will have a distinct advantage in the selection process. You will have a sound understanding of UK geology and/or UK construction practice and be looking to build on your prior experience by taking on challenging projects and more responsibility. Demonstration of experience and expertise in the assessment of ground conditions, geological design and modelling, and relevant codes and standards will be essential. A general knowledge of geoenvironmental engineering and its interaction with geotechnical design will be necessary and excellent report writing skills will be required.

Management of the Geotechnical Engineering Program
Develop and implement the geotechnical engineering principles, designs and standard.
Technical assistance to geotechnical engineers, i.e. proof read all reports.
Training and development of staff. Groom and mentor potential key personnel under his/her wing.
Hands-on coaching the staff in reviewing design, sharing with his team design areas that are not correct, showing them how to make changes and explaining why the changes are done in specific methods.
Continuous development of his/her geotechnical and foundation related technical experience.
