Applicants must have a minimum of HNC in an engineering related subject and at least 5 years' experience of building engineering systems, having worked in a contracting and/or consulting background.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of:
-The Gas Safety #Installation and Use# Regulations 1998
-BS 6173 Specification for installation and maintenance of gas-fired catering appliances for use in all types of catering establishments #2nd and 3rd family gases#
-Catering Information Sheet 23, Gas safety in catering and hospitality establishments
-Be familiar with CIBSE Commissioning Codes
Capabilities and experience must include:
-Ablility to communicate effectively with contractors, tenants and clients, and be able to present clear written and verbal cases for proposing a given course of action
-Ablility to evaluate situations on site not just from the point of view of the Regulations, but also considering the relevant cost of works, the effect of downtime and the needs of the client
-Have a clear and consistent mindset that seeks to deliver excellent value for the client at all times
-Good IT skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
-Ablility to compile reports, manage information streams and chair and minute regular progress meetings with clients and contractors
-Be familiar with witnessing of commissioning for HVAC systems and competent to carry out snagging of mechanical and electrical building services systems
-Carry out Condition and Due Diligence M&E surveys/ inspections and reporting thereon
Candidates must hold a full clean driving licence and be willing to travel to all parts of the UK, which will involve staying away overnight on occasion. Candidates must also be prepared to undertake further training as necessary.
